How buyers think, and what makes them say YES!

Tuesday 1st July, 9:30 AM UK

If you don’t understand how retail buyers think, selling wholesale can feel confusing, overwhelming, and unpredictable.

In this first Summer Session, we’ll step into your buyer’s shoes, and uncover exactly what helps them feel confident saying yes to your products.

You’ll learn:

  • What buyers actually care about (and what questions they’re always asking themselves)

  • How to see your products through a buyer’s lens,  instead of your own

  • The three key things every buyer needs to feel safe placing an order
     

You’ll leave this session with:

  • A stronger understanding of what drives wholesale decisions

  • Fresh insights from reviewing your products through a buyer’s eyes

  • 3 ready-to-go pitch paragraphs you can start using in your emails, line sheets or sales conversations
     

This workshop lays the foundation for every pitch you’ll write, and every stockist relationship you’ll build.

Even when a buyer seems interested, it doesn’t always turn into an order, and that can leave you second-guessing your pitch, or wondering if your products are even right for wholesale.

In this Summer Session, we’ll unpack exactly what helps buyers feel confident saying yes, and what often quietly holds them back, even when they love your products.

You’ll learn:

  • What makes buyers feel safe, ready, and excited to place that first order

  • What quietly blocks sales (and how to avoid common pitfalls)

  • How to write a pitch that’s clear, buyer-focused, and that sells
     

You’ll leave this session with:

  • A simple pitch formula you can reuse again and again

  • A draft email pitch tailored to your brand and bestsellers

  • More clarity and confidence in how to introduce your wholesale offer

In this final Summer Session, you’ll learn how to stay visible, build trust with buyers, and follow up in a way that feels natural, without feeling pushy or awkward.

Because buyers don’t always say yes after the first pitch. Often, they just need more time, confidence, and a few gentle reminders that you’re still there.

You’ll learn:

  • What actually builds trust with retail buyers

  • Why staying visible (without chasing) helps turn interest into orders

  • The 5 simple follow-up topics you can rotate year-round

  • How to keep conversations warm and avoid “they ghosted me” moments

Hello, I'm Therese

I’ve been in sales for over 17 years, working with everyone from high street giants like John Lewis, Liberty, and Selfridges, to literally thousands of incredible independents across the UK and worldwide.

 

These days, I help small product-based business owners how to grow their wholesale in a way that feels clear, doable, and genuinely aligned with who they are, especially if you’re someone who hates the idea of being pushy or salesy.

 

I’m an introvert, English is my second language, and I’m dyslexic, so if the idea of writing sales emails, pitching to shops, or following up makes you want to hide under your desk, I promise: I’ve been there too.

 

What I’ve learned (and what I teach) is that you don’t need to be loud, slick, or have a huge range to be successful at wholesale. You just need a clear message, structure, and a process that works with your personality, not against it.

 

That’s what these Summer Sessions are about. No fluff, no overwhelm, real strategy and time to get the work done together.
